About the Role

CIMMYT, a leading international organization dedicated to solving global agricultural challenges, seeks a visionary Human Resources Director to drive strategic HR initiatives and enhance our workforce capabilities. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our organizational culture and ensuring the effective functioning of our programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement cutting-edge HR policies and procedures that align with CIMMYT's 2030 Strategy, promoting equal opportunities and a positive work environment.
  • Collaborate with HR officers globally to review and update HR procedures, including terms of employment, organizational structures, and compensation packages, to attract and retain top talent.
  • Lead the recruitment process of national and international staff, ensuring efficient and effective procedures to reduce turnover and personnel issues.
  • Coordinate comprehensive performance and talent management strategies, address employee disputes and grievances, and foster a supportive and dynamic work environment.
  • Engage with senior leadership to ensure HR strategies are robust and support CIMMYT's overarching goals, emphasizing compliance and strategic alignment in all HR practices.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive experience in HR management, with a proven track record of driving strategic HR initiatives and enhancing organizational culture.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leadership and HR officers globally.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and promote a positive work environment.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices and compliance requirements, with the ability to develop and implement effective HR policies and procedures.
