Key Responsibilities:
The primary focus of the Cloud Compliance Engineer is to oversee the security compliance lifecycle for cloud infrastructure, services, and products within the SAP Global Cloud Infrastructure and Delivery framework, adopting a comprehensive end-to-end approach. You will engage with cross-functional teams, including IT, Legal, and Finance, to address technology and security compliance requirements.
Your Role:
You will take charge of prioritizing security compliance matters alongside relevant operations or development teams. Given the convergence of technical security, security controls, and organizational measures in cloud computing, a broad and integrated perspective on all compliance and governance aspects is essential.
Your contributions will include managing compliance initiatives, conducting gap assessments, and implementing controls to meet regulatory standards. You will provide consultation and coordination, particularly in legal and regulatory compliance, translating these requirements into actionable controls. Leading internal and external audits related to information security and compliance while offering guidance to business units will form a significant part of your daily responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or a related field with expertise in business economics and process analytics.
- Extensive knowledge of compliance-related certifications (ISO/SOC/PCI DSS) or regional regulatory requirements and audits.
- Experience in IT architecture design, cloud computing, information security, or software development.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
- Adaptability and openness to thrive in a dynamic environment.
- A strong passion for compliance and quality assurance.
- Proven project management skills and a successful track record.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud computing, virtualization, and IT systems.
- Over 5 years of experience in project/program management.
- More than 5 years in compliance, security, or business continuity roles.
