Reservation Sales Agent

We are seeking a highly skilled Reservation Sales Agent to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for processing all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail.
Key Responsibilities- Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations in a timely and efficient manner
- Identify guest reservation needs and determine appropriate room type and rate
- Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers
- Accommodate and document special requests
- Answer questions about property facilities and services
- Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue
- Communicate information regarding designated VIP reservations
- Input and access data in reservation system
- Respond to challenges found for accommodating rooming requests
- Oversee accuracy of room blocks and reservations
- Input group rooming lists and revise room blocks as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2 years of experience in sales or customer service
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of reservation systems
