About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT professional to join our team at Port Cities as a Senior IT Consultant. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality solutions to our clients and driving business growth through innovative technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Expertise: You will have a strong background in Object-Oriented Programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, etc.) and experience with database query languages (MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
  • Database Management: You will have experience with database management systems, including database design, development, and implementation.
  • Git and Version Control: You will have experience with Git and version control systems, including repository management and collaboration.
  • Operating Systems: You will have experience with various operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and Unix.
  • ERP Systems: Experience with ERP systems, such as Odoo, SAP, and Oracle, is an advantage.
  • Web Development: Experience with web development, including website, POS, and mobile development, is an advantage.
  • Odoo ORM: Knowledge of Odoo ORM is an advantage.
  • Communication: You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, clients, and external partners.
  • Location: Preferred location is Caracas or Mexico City.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience with ERP implementations, with Odoo experience being a plus.
  • Business Acumen: You will have a good understanding of global business processes and be able to apply this knowledge to drive business growth.
  • Accounting and Finance: Knowledge of Mexican accounting and finances is a plus.
  • Passion for IT: You will have a passion for IT and a motivation to learn new skills.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required.
  • Google Workspace: You will have proficiency in using Google Workspace.
  • Interpersonal Skills: You will have strong interpersonal skills to build solid relationships with the team, cross-functional colleagues, clients, and external partners.
  • Communication Skills: You will have outstanding written, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Time Management: You will have good time management skills with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Growth Mindset: You will have a growth mindset and a positive attitude.
