**Job Summary**

The Culinary Team Member will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards and that the kitchen runs efficiently.

**Key Responsibilities**

  1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of the culinary team to ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards.
  2. Determine how food should be presented and create decorative food displays to enhance the dining experience.
  3. Monitor the quantity of food that is prepared and inform Food & Beverage service staff of menu specials and out of stock menu items.
  4. Prepare special meals or substitute items as required and assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks.
  5. Provide cooks with needed items and monitor the stock of kitchen supplies and food to ensure that they are always available.
  6. Maintain kitchen logs for the food safety program and food products and ensure that the quality of the food items meets the highest standards.
  7. Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees to ensure that they are performing to the best of their abilities.
  8. Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures and report any maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
  9. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
  10. Address guests' service needs and speak with others using clear and professional language.
  11. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support the team to reach common goals.
  12. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards and stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.

**Requirements**

  • Educational attainment: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a similar role and knowledge of food safety and handling procedures.
  • Ability to supervise and coordinate the activities of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
  • Related work experience: 4 to 6 years of related work experience.
  • Supervisory experience: At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • License or Certification: None
