Eaton's VEH EMB eMobility division is currently seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Plant Controller. This is a key position within the plant leadership team, responsible for establishing, coordinating, and administering an effective plan for the control of operations.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and coordinate budgets, profit plans, strategic plans, monthly forecasts, goals & objectives, financial reconciliations, reports, and analysis for plant management, including variance analysis and cost control reporting and recommendations.
  • Advise and counsel plant manager and staff on financial implications of operating strategies, cost control actions, and decisions.
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate financial data and information for accuracy, consistency, and transparency.
  • Interpret, implement, and monitor corporate policies and procedures, ensuring financials are reported in compliance with them and with accepted accounting principles and local statutory requirements.
  • Control and maintain adequate product costing systems for valuation and cost estimating activities.
  • Ownership of account reconciliation process to maintain records integrity of legal entity/plant general ledger and its supporting sub-systems.
  • Assess adequacy of reserves and overall financial reporting.
  • Provide leadership and support for the Balance Sheet Review process.
  • Establish, monitor, and maintain a system of internal controls that safeguards company assets and provides for integrity and propriety of financial transactions and activities.
  • Evaluate and approve plant capital appropriation requests prior to region/division and corporate management approval.
  • Monitor and report purchase commitments and spending for all capital programs.
  • Conduct follow-up audits to ensure compliance for all significant capital investments.
  • Manage hiring, training, and development of plant financial staff.
  • Establish a work environment that encourages individual career development and growth.
  • Manage the deployment of cost-saving and other programs to provide operating economies and improve profitability.
  • Monitor and provide opportunities to support continuously improving Plant Productivity/Gross Utilization.
  • Support other Operations initiatives, including OpA, MESH, CIF, and other EBS efforts.
  • Ensure that the appropriate plant quality policy and system are thoroughly implemented in the finance function.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree - Accounting (Finance) major
  • 5 years diversified, progressive experience in the manufacturing environment, some of which may have been gained in public accounting (audit), with an emphasis in manufacturing accounting (cost, forecasting, planning) including supervision.
  • Must have accounting experience as a CPA or CMA preferred but not required.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of computerized accounting systems and related subsidiary ledgers systems.
  • Internal controls process creation, implementation, and sustainability.
  • Must operate as a team player and provide example and guidance of the same to peers and subordinates.
  • Well-established verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Demonstrates Finance Proficiency.
  • Maintains an effective business partner relationship by providing impactful financial analysis.
  • High knowledge of GAAP.
  • Financial Models: forecasting, cash flow, projects (NPV, make vs buy).
