About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned procurement professional to lead our category sourcing efforts for Emerging Market Customer Fulfillment Procurement. As a Procurement Category Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sourcing strategies to optimize Amazon's competitive position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Category Sourcing Strategy Development
    • Establish and lead cross-functional strategic sourcing teams to negotiate with suppliers and execute contracts.
    • Drive relationships with category suppliers to achieve optimal solutions and cost of ownership.
  • Market Intelligence and Risk Management
    • Act as a market intelligence provider regarding categories, anticipating strategic opportunities and keeping key stakeholders informed.
    • Manage category suppliers to proactively identify, monitor, and optimize opportunities.
  • Savings and Value Target Achievement
    • Identify, achieve, and report on savings and value targets for category sourcing activities.
  • Internal Customer Alignment
    • Align with internal customers and understand the business application of the category.
A Day in the Life

As a Procurement Category Manager, you will have the autonomy to innovate and deliver new approaches that impact the bottom and top line. You will be surrounded by inspiring and diverse individuals, and have the opportunity to learn from people with a wide variety of professional backgrounds.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A completed Bachelor's Degree.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English (C1+).
  • 7+ years of experience in indirect or direct sourcing categories.
  • Solid experience in ERP Systems (Oracle, Coupa, SAP, MS tool suite).
Preferred Qualifications

We are also looking for candidates with:

  • A Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations, Analytics, or related field.
  • 2+ years of practiced analytical skills, including the ability to distill, synthesize, and draw conclusions on large amounts of data.
  • Lean / Six-Sigma knowledge.
  • Product Management/Retail Vendor Management experience.
  • Management experience.
  • Fluency in Portuguese is highly desirable.
