About the Role:

Cognizant is seeking a highly skilled SAP Basis Administrator to oversee the administration of our SAP systems, ensuring optimal performance and contributing to the overall success of our IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and upgrade SAP systems and related software.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for SAP Basis issues to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor system performance, perform tuning, and implement necessary adjustments to optimize SAP environments.
  • Manage SAP user accounts, roles, and authorizations to maintain security and compliance.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute SAP system upgrades and patches.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for SAP system configurations, procedures, and best practices.
  • Conduct regular system health checks and audits to identify and address potential issues proactively.
  • Implement backup and recovery strategies to safeguard critical SAP data and ensure business continuity.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior administrators to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure readiness in case of system failures.
  • Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and trends to recommend improvements and innovations.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in SAP S/4HANA Administration with hands-on experience in system installation and configuration.
  • Expertise in SAP Basis Administration, including performance tuning and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in managing SAP user accounts, roles, and authorizations.
  • Proficiency in planning and executing SAP system upgrades and patches.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
