Job Summary

The Digital Marketing Strategist is a key member of the IHG Hotels & Resorts team, responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans to drive revenue growth and meet business targets for our managed and franchised hotels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Field Marketing team to execute digital marketing strategies and initiatives that drive incremental revenue and meet business targets.
  • Develop and deliver marketing activities to hotels, working closely with the Field Marketing team, Digital Marketing teams, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective execution.
  • Accountable for tracking and executing marketing activities, delivering marketing scope, and measuring campaign effectiveness.
  • Demonstrate project management experience in organizing, planning, and executing large-scale marketing projects from conception through implementation and evaluation.
  • Develop and present data-driven recommendations to stakeholders, promoting items persuasively and shaping opinions.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of multiple brand process management, including research methodology and design.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of marketing principles and concepts.
  • Develop and maintain a consistent, high-quality customer-focused orientation, providing clear, accurate information and anticipating problems or questions.
  • Stay up to speed on digital media best practices, trends, and tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
  • Eight or more years of progressive work-related experience with demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines/processes related to the position, including direct marketing or database marketing experience.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • Familiarity with direct marketing and analytics techniques and systems.
  • Experience with test-and-learn scenarios and planning matrices, execution in both on and offline channels.
  • Experience with campaign management and email marketing tools.
  • Firm grasp of relational database concepts.
  • Ability to work in an integrated creative environment and to translate customer analytics output into insight for development of creative briefs.
  • Ability to direct creative process(es) to build compelling messaging and creative concepts.
  • Experience in handling sensitive consumer data.
  • Experience with identifying marketing opportunities utilizing third-party information.
  • Ability to translate observations into findings and business applications.
  • Extremely detail-oriented, highly organized with excellent time management skills and a technical aptitude.
  • Team player with a positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, and a focus on problem-solving.
  • Multi-lingual skills a plus.
