The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and implementing all areas of the Amazon Global Safety Program as directed by the safety leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain Accurate Safety Metrics: Ensure accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics are reported to regional management teams and corporate-based reporting systems.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Support management's efforts to ensure compliance with all corporate Safety Program expectations and applicable federal and state laws.
- Risk Assessments and Mitigation: Conduct risk assessments related to jobs performed (Job Hazard Analysis) and new equipment introductions, and recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures to management.
- Incident Investigation and Reporting: Facilitate incident investigation process and maintain required paperwork to comply with Amazon and STPS regulations.
- Safety Training and Development: Train and assist others (Area Managers, safety team members, etc.) to complete their safety responsibilities and perform specific safety training as required by the Safety Manager.
- Process Improvement and Communication: Participate in process improvement activities, manage actions to completion, and communicate health and safety needs to all levels of the organization.
- Education: Bachelor's degree
- Experience: 5+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations experience
- Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications, use of pivot tables, and development of charts and graphics
- Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of STPS, CIVIL PROTECTION, SEMARNAT, and SCT regulations specifically those related to Environmental, Health and Safety in Mexico
- Leadership Experience: Experience in Distribution Center or Manufacturing EHS with a mix of exempt and non-exempt employees at a site of at least 250 people
