ResponsibilitiesThe Opportunity
This position is integral to the Data Protection Organization within the Global Compute service, focusing on delivering effective infrastructure support on a global scale, particularly in Storage Technology. The role involves overseeing a substantial team of Managed Service Providers who are responsible for the operational support of PepsiCo's global Storage platform. The individual will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of Storage infrastructure at PepsiCo. Collaboration with the Infrastructure Operations team and Managed Service Providers is essential to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and ensure the reliability and scalability of our infrastructure. The role also includes identifying automation and optimization opportunities to improve productivity.
Your Impact
As a Storage (NAS and SAN) Associate Manager , your responsibilities will include:
Collaborating with Service Providers and key stakeholders to deliver the necessary Storage support that meets business needs and ensures infrastructure service availability. Working with Service Providers' service delivery teams to evaluate service levels, KPIs, and metrics, ensuring that service expectations are met through regular operational assessments. Partnering with PepsiCo and Partner Architects, Compute and Network Engineers, and other stakeholders to assist in the design, communication, and execution of Strategies, Technology Roadmaps, Standards, Processes, and Services. Coordinating with the Information Security Group to ensure compliance and track any unsupported equipment still in operation across the infrastructure. Collaborating with Asset Management, Capacity, and Performance Management for Global IT Servers, Storage, and Automation to develop a forecasting model and anticipate demand across infrastructure services. Providing governance and ownership of changes across infrastructure services by participating in all relevant Change Approval Boards. Conducting financial forecasting and managing project and operational budgets. Keeping abreast of new and emerging technologies and processes. Continuously evolving and applying improvements to IT services. Influencing technical and business decisions. Working closely with the Supplier Relationship Team to maintain healthy supplier relationships, manage contracts, monitor product performance, and ensure service levels and expectations are met. Collaborating with Architecture and Engineering Leaders to establish criteria and execution plans that ensure a smooth transition from Engineering to Operational areas for project delivery and production support. Leading the resolution of complex issues as necessary to ensure service quality and support critical incidents when required. Partnering with Risk and Compliance to lead the development and management of Data Centre disaster recovery plans, ensuring regular reviews and tests of these plans. Creating opportunities for cross-team effectiveness and eliminating organizational barriers to foster strong teamwork, collaboration, and exceptional Compute service delivery. QualificationsWho Are We Looking For?
Experience
Familiarity with the Dell Storage portfolio for Block, File, and Object Storage. Experience in Storage Automation. Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python. Knowledge of Azure NetApp Files (ANF). A minimum of 5 years in a technical subject matter expert role with operational experience in technical platforms (Cloud storage, Network attached storage, Block storage, Backup and Recovery, Server platforms preferred). Experience in project delivery. Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting, resolution, and root cause analysis of complex technology issues.Tech Skills
Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) expertise. Agile practitioner experience (SAFe framework + Azure DevOps). Knowledge of ITIL processes including Configuration, Change, Incident, Problem, and Asset Management. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry is preferred. Exceptional customer service skills to effectively resolve challenging and sensitive issues. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding work environment.
