Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Cost Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost management for real estate projects, preferably corporate offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in feasibility studies and prepare procurement reports
- Develop and present cost plans, including estimating and cost planning
- Establish cost procedures and manage tendering and procurement processes
- Manage post-contract cost variances and change control processes
- Review and approve subcontractor proposals, manage contracts, and change requests
- Conduct cost checks and valuations, ensuring timely and accurate cost management
- Analyze project budgets, monitor expenditure, and ensure costs align with delivered products and services
- Review payment applications, monitor invoicing, and ensure payments are accurate
- Report progress to the Senior Cost Manager and manage stakeholder communications
- Value engineering and negotiate final accounts
- Interface with clients and other consultants throughout the project lifecycle
- Lead a cost management team, ensuring delivery of accountabilities
- Financial management and process improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Civil – Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in cost management for real estate projects, preferably corporate offices
- Experience working on site, with a high degree of accuracy and local market cost knowledge
- Fluent English and Spanish
- RICS and AACE CCP, CCT certifications preferred
