Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. as a key member of our Engineering & Facilities department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, including the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance and extend their lifespan.
  • Calibrate controls, gauges, and meters to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Identify and locate shut-off valves to prevent equipment damage and ensure safety.
  • Order and stock parts and supplies as needed to maintain a well-stocked inventory.
  • Inspect tools, equipment, and machines to detect any signs of wear or damage.
  • Enter and locate work-related information using computers to track maintenance activities and inventory levels.
  • Operate power lifts and other equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Complete life safety checklists, including fire-pump run tests and generator run tests, to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Inspect fire sprinkler valves and alarm systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Assist in the development of disaster response protocols to ensure business continuity.
  • Respond to guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees.
  • Follow all company and safety policies and procedures, including reporting maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards, and identify, recommend, develop, and implement new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Requirements

  • Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
  • At least 2 years of related work experience.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
