Job Summary
Caterpillar is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technician to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assisting in the manufacture and assembly of various products, ensuring high-quality production and meeting customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct basic equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, spares, and sustained production.
- Operate basic production equipment and tools in the manufacture, assembly, and packaging of various products.
- Follow blueprints, guidelines, diagrams, and schematics to ensure product and customer specifications and tolerance levels are met.
- Assist in modifying existing equipment or designing new equipment for continual manufacturing process improvement, as well as quality control and in-process production testing.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in metalworking manufacturing processes.
- Basic English language proficiency.
- Knowledge of NPI (New Product Introduction) processes.
- Strong decision-making and critical thinking skills.
- Basic understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to work safely and follow manufacturing safety protocols.
Desirable Requirements
- Training as a 6 Sigma Green Belt.
- Experience as a 6 Sigma Green Belt project leader.
- Participation in continuous improvement projects (Lean).
- Knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control) and Autocad.
