About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Risk Manager to lead our lending portfolio management processes and analytics for Mexico. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for end-to-end management of credit line management processes and analytics, ensuring the profitable growth of our consumer card business through lending initiatives while controlling net loss provision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement risk strategies and initiatives to grow our consumer card business through lending initiatives.
  • Lead an analyst and be responsible for their hiring, training, development, and performance assessment.
  • Effectively interact and collaborate with colleagues from the central Risk Management organization, as well as Operations and Marketing teams to develop, enhance, and implement approved credit strategies and processes.
  • Deeply understand and closely monitor the key metrics of the credit performance for the portfolio and the implications on trends, diagnosing problems and identifying opportunities for improvement and/or corrections.
  • Run ad hoc analytics and conduct independent risk assessments across various processes to identify potential emerging risks and performance issues.
Requirements
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with experience to lead and perform data analytics.
  • Track record of driving results with strong thought leadership and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Deep understanding/experience of risk management principles with underwriting and customer management knowledge.
  • Flexibility and ability to build strong relationships, operate effectively within large cross-functional teams, and influence business partners to drive changes.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence others.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a high-performing team, maintaining their motivation and enabling their development.
  • 3+ years of experience in credit risk analytics.
  • Work experience with SAS/SQL required. Familiarity with Big Data and Machine Learning will be an advantage.
  • Basic project management skills.
