Key Responsibilities:- Maintain routine contact with existing customers to determine their needs and requirements through face-to-face and telephone contact.
- Analyze customer and competition situations to generate specific plans that will achieve objectives.
- Prepare quotations and secure purchase orders, maintaining appropriate documentation.
- Update management on competitive activity and complete lost/won order reports as necessary.
- Maintain a sales forecasting capability to ensure efficient scheduling, superior customer service, and inventory control.
- Closely interface with product specialists and engineers to promote a technical sales approach.
- Plan itineraries to achieve objectives on a daily and long-term basis.
- Report on activity on a weekly basis and submit expense reports.
- 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in the analytical equipment industry.
- Fluent in Spanish and English, with excellent communication skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- BSc/MSc degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Physics, or Materials Science.
- Experience with Key Account sales and managing Key Accounts.
- Knowledge of analytical systems, such as X-ray fluorescence, X-ray diffraction, particle size, and others.
- Ability to travel within Mexico and occasionally in other countries for training and meetings.
