As a Financial Reporting Specialist at Novartis Farmacéutica, you will provide expert advice to superiors on Financial Reporting & Accounting and manage the reporting and accounting requirements for the general ledger. Your goal will be to ensure compliance with external and internal accounting reporting requirements in a timely and accurate manner.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support financial activities, decision making, and general projects with direct managers.
  • Provide timely and proactive support on the general ledger.
  • Maintain accurate and timely fixed asset information in the fixed asset register, including assets under construction and depreciation calculations.
  • Prepare analysis or reporting with particular emphasis on accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of data provided.
  • Provide all data needed for internal and external reporting in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Offer first-line support on SAP issues, including fixed assets, cash, and general ledger.
  • Contribute to FRA projects at country or BU level.
  • Report technical complaints, adverse events, or special case scenarios related to Novartis products within 24 hours of receipt.

Requirements:

  • University-level degree in business, accounting, or finance.
  • 4+ years of experience in accounting, accounts payable, or analyst roles.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with SAP or comparable systems is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Good analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
