Job Summary

Marriott International, Inc is seeking a highly skilled Culinary Specialist to join our Four Points by Sheraton team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to the highest standards, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
  • Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables, and weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Prepare and cook food according to presentation standards and food preparation checklists.
  • Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers, and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently.
  • Monitor food quality while preparing food, and set-up and break down work stations.
  • Ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food, and maintain a clean and professional kitchen area.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year of related work experience.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift, and to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
