We are seeking an experienced CAD Designer to join our team at EDAG Mexico, working on automotive development projects.
About the RoleThis position involves developing and building parametric 3D data according to construction standards. You will propose new ways to increase construction efficiency while maintaining the required level of quality. Your tasks will include:
- Developing concepts sections according to construction guidelines;
- Proposing complex engineering solutions based on technology (plastics or sheet metal);
- Creating 2D drawings and applying knowledge of GD&T, manufacturing process, injection molding, SMC, thermoforming;
- Training junior team members in CAD design and reviewing their work;
- Communicating effectively with clients, presenting problems, proposals, and possible solutions.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field;
- At least 10 years of experience in the automotive industry, specifically in development areas;
- Advanced CATIA skills;
- Knowledge of Body in White, doors, Interior Trim Console, and Exterior Trim;
- Proficiency in DFMEA, DFA, DFM, GD&T Materials, and experience with plastic and/or metal parts;
- Fluent English language skills;
- German A2 language skills (desired).
The estimated salary for this position is approximately $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
