Junior Human Resources Business Partner

Join the dynamic team at Kellanova as a Junior Human Resources Business Partner in Manufacturing. In this pivotal role, you will act as the primary contact for employee relations matters within our manufacturing operations. Your responsibilities will encompass fostering trust, credibility, and collaborative relationships with management, staff, and union representatives. You will leverage your expertise and sound judgment to address inquiries, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements. Your goal will be to resolve issues and meet client needs fairly and objectively, aligning with our core principles and business strategies.
This hybrid position offers flexibility, with a combination of in-office and remote work. Performance-based growth opportunities will be available, and on-site days will feature complimentary snacks from our esteemed brand portfolio.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Labor Strategy Development: Support the formulation and execution of a robust labor strategy while managing employee relations challenges effectively.
- Investigations and Risk Management: Conduct thorough investigations regarding company policies, employment laws, and collective agreements, providing assessments and recommendations for complex situations.
- Collaboration with Legal Advisors: Work alongside legal counsel on matters such as separations and performance management, ensuring proper documentation to minimize legal risks.
- Labor Culture Enhancement: Promote a productive labor culture by tracking HR metrics and ensuring compliance with disciplinary programs, while advising on onboarding processes.
- Compliance with Collective Bargaining Agreements: Ensure adherence to collective bargaining agreements and labor regulations, managing compliance with federal inspections and promotion processes.
Qualifications:
- 4-5 years of experience in employee relations or a similar role.
- Experience negotiating with union representatives.
- Strong understanding of labor laws and union management.
- Fluency in English.
