Join the dynamic team at Kellanova as a Junior Human Resources Business Partner in Manufacturing. In this pivotal role, you will be the primary contact for employee relations matters at our manufacturing facility. Your responsibilities will include fostering trust, credibility, and collaborative relationships with management, staff, and union representatives. You will leverage your expertise and sound judgment to address inquiries, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and legal standards. Your focus will be on resolving issues and meeting client needs in a fair and objective manner, aligned with our core principles and business strategy.

This hybrid position allows for flexibility, with a combination of in-office and remote work. You will have opportunities for professional growth based on your performance, and enjoy complimentary snacks during your in-office days.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Labor Strategy Development: Assist in crafting and executing a robust labor strategy while managing employee relations challenges effectively.
  • Conduct Investigations and Assess Risks: Perform thorough investigations related to company policies, employment laws, and collective agreements, identifying complex situations and providing actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Legal Advisors: Work alongside legal counsel on matters of separations and performance management, ensuring proper documentation to mitigate risks.
  • Foster a Productive Labor Culture: Promote a positive labor environment by tracking HR metrics and ensuring compliance with disciplinary procedures and onboarding processes.
  • Ensure Compliance with Collective Bargaining Agreements: Monitor adherence to collective agreements and labor regulations, ensuring proper handling of promotions and vacancies.

Qualifications:

  • 4-5 years of experience in a similar employee relations role.
  • Experience negotiating with union representatives.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws and union management.
  • Fluency in English.
