Job Summary

The Manager Pricing Solutions is responsible for overseeing the company strategy on domestic and international freight forwarding pricing, 3PL solutions design, and solutions implementation. The Manager will be responsible for RFI/RFQ development, domestic/international pricing administration, and the successful and profitable implementation of company products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Directs the development and creation of competitive BIDS, RFQ/RFI, and responses for potential business on the network, ensuring the attainment of the Company's budgeted revenues.
  • Works collaboratively with sales to develop winning, long-term pricing contracts.
  • Ensures profitability studies are prepared using the correct cost and financial information.
  • Analyzes and develops value-added logistics solutions to increase revenue and penetration of key customer supply chains.
  • Acts as the logistics SME in support of the organization.
  • Implements and manages 3PL and transportation solutions at the highest level of Customer Experience.
  • Develops standardization and best practices and effectively implements across AIT organization.
  • Manages staff, including recruitment, training, development, and performance management.
  • Maintains all quote and RFQ documentation and ensures quality controls are in place on all pricing and tariff configurations.
  • Proactively manages and initiates contract review with corporate with proper lead times prior to expiration.
  • Ensures all pricing is contemporary with Company strategy and objectives.
  • Works out proposals for material recovery models, which are presented to the customer.
  • Manages the day-to-day reporting requirements and work activity for the pricing and analytic teams.
  • Supports Operations Director in managing and monitoring KPIs and optimization of network.
  • Works closely with operations and field stations to implement bids and utilize the proper carriers to maximize the benefits forecasted in the bid.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required; Master's Degree preferred in Finance/Engineering.
  • 5+ years of pricing and quoting experience in all Global Products required.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS business suite (high proficiency).
  • Demonstrated ability to understand estimates, accounting ledgers, spec sheets, and pro forma financial statements.
