Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operations Business Center Manager to join our team. This is a critical role that will oversee the supervision of teams in Mexico City and serve as a brand ambassador for the Avantor Business Center in the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise Mexico City teams and ensure commercial alignment with business objectives.
  • Work closely with the Avantor Business Center Leader to implement governance structures, system operations, IT-enabled services, and strategic placement discussions.
  • Drive improvement initiatives via digital transformation and ensure timely escalation or reach out for help in case of critical situations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • 7+ years of experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment (direct customer contact), including people management, business management, and handling direct or indirect customers.
  • Real-time operations experience and achieved good metrics required.
  • Project Management, IT-enabled services, Systems Operations Management, Customer Support Management, and Proven leadership skills.
  • Highly customer-focused, proactive, and team-focused with outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to interact comfortably with various client types.
  • High sense of responsibility, eagerness to learn, excellent communication skills, and highly focused on process improvement.
  • Digital savviness, GBS/SSC environment experience, and certifications like PMP - preferred - Process improvement certification Six Sigma, Kaizen etc are a plus.
  • Language skills: Professional English: writing, reading, and speaking.
  • IT Skills: MS Office, Optional SAP (eligible): Demonstrates ability to effectively utilize technology platforms including CRM Tools.
Salary:

$85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
