Job Summary

The Audit Analytics Manager role at HSBC Mexico Internal Audit is a key position that enables Audit leadership and individual teams to leverage technology advancements to enhance the effectiveness of the Latin America Region Internal Audit Program.

Main Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Audit teams to design, build, and deliver innovative technology-enabled auditing solutions.
  • Implement agile development methodologies to meet timely needs and add value to Audit.
  • Ensure compliance with Global Internal Audit Instruction Manual requirements and Audit Analytics desk procedures.
  • Drive discussion and collaboration with GIA teams to identify areas where technology can add value and existing data can be used to improve audit tests and knowledge.
  • Build and leverage an internal support network to help solve problems and eliminate hurdles in delivering audit technology solutions.
  • Develop sustainable processes to support Audit Analytics operational requirements, including risk management associated with performance of analytics.
  • Develop knowledge of data sources, structures, and metadata for use by Audit teams.
  • Capture risk drivers in individual Mexico business lines and the LAM Region to inform Audit leadership decisions.
  • Conduct continuous tests of control using advanced analytics.
  • Participate in the design and delivery of reporting applications.
  • Conduct analysis to detect trends and anomalies.
  • Suggest remedial actions or escalate detections that give cause for concern.
Requirements
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, accounting, mathematics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Over 4 years of relevant work experience in financial services, consultancy, or external/internal audit.
  • Experience in data analytics or progressive information technology programming experience or equivalent.
  • Experience applying agile/iterative software development methods.
  • Solid experience with Business Intelligence/analytics tools and programming (Python, Alteryx, Qlik Sense, PowerBI, Tableau, Celonis, SQL).
  • Experience with machine learning or artificial intelligence a plus.
  • Track record in designing and implementing advanced data analytics solutions.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, and PPT).
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, including ability to plan work and meet tight deadlines.
  • Good interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, interpersonal, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Enthusiastic, collaborative, and customer-oriented.
  • Resourceful and results-driven.
  • Effective presentation and influencing skills.
