Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate transportation with international freight forwarders, courier/LTL/truckload carriers, logistics companies, customs brokers, customers, vendors, and internal offices to ensure goods are delivered on time and in accordance with revenue goals.
- Provide freight quoting, cost analysis, rate comparison, routing, and carrier selection to optimize logistics operations.
- Ensure customs compliance and documentation for both import and export shipments.
- Manage transportation movement and billing to meet contractual Incoterms.
- Prepare shipping documentation, including BOLs, waybills, COOs, commercial invoices, SLIs, packing declarations, packing lists, and other necessary documents.
- Apply global FTA rules and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Ensure packaging standards are met for designated modes of transport, including ISPM-15 compliance and procurement of packing services.
- Classify goods for tariff purposes.
- Provide logistics assistance to suppliers and customers.
- Log and track shipments, providing updates as requested.
- Audit and code freight invoices.
- Manage freight claims and file necessary paperwork.
- Use ERP systems to determine proper routing of inbound and outbound finished and semi-finished goods.
- Ensure delivery deadlines and revenue plans are met.
- At least 2-5 years of experience in logistics and transportation management.
- Proven track record of freight invoice auditing and coding.
- Experience with freight claims filing and management.
- Strong knowledge of international freight forwarders, courier/LTL/truckload carriers, logistics companies, customs brokers, customers, vendors, and internal offices.
- Prior experience in inbound freight into Mexico from the US and customs requirements is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Business preferred.
- Equivalent experience acceptable.
