The Senior Technical Consultant II, Production Support Specialist, is a critical role within the Allstate Insurance Company's IT organization. This position is responsible for creating high-level technical designs for complex projects and maintenance efforts by analyzing requirements and systems architecture, collaborating with technology partners, and adhering to tool standards with minimal assistance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Design and Development
    • Creates high-level technical designs for complex projects and maintenance efforts by analyzing requirements and systems architecture.
    • Collaborates with technology partners to ensure alignment with company standards and best practices.
    • Develops and maintains design artifacts, including technical documents and diagrams.
  • Production Support
    • Provides front-line support to business stakeholders, triaging and resolving technical issues, and performing system remediations and bug fixes.
    • Manages daily file monitoring for clients, coordinating scheduling conflicts and delays.
    • Responds to incidents, communicating with involved parties and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Has in-depth knowledge of mainframe applications, including scheduling and data analysis.
    • Understands the technical details, integration, and functions of multiple applications, hardware, and software within a team.
    • Executes and enforces best practices, ensuring adherence to company standards and industry benchmarks.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Participates in design reviews, application design impacts, and technical walkthroughs.
    • Communicates effectively with stakeholders, including business analysts, technology partners, and end-users.
    • Facilitates implementation of strategies, elimination of redundancies, and simplification of applications.
  • Business Acumen
    • Understands the business process and application landscape, identifying opportunities for improvement.
    • Supports the achievement of the Technology organization and corporate strategy, practicing alignment to achieve the common purpose.

    Requirements
    • 4-year Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
    • 3 or more years of experience in a related field (Preferred)
    • SQL and mainframe application expertise
    Compensation

Compensation for this role is competitive and based on experience and qualifications.
