Job Summary:
As a Senior Service Technician at Motion Industries, you will play a critical role in repairing, servicing, and building complex hydraulic, fluid power, electrical, and mechanical systems. With a strong focus on customer satisfaction, you will provide guidance to less experienced technicians and ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance on assigned customer products in the service shop.
- Disassemble, clean, and inspect system components for repair.
- Prepare job forms listing parts and work necessary to perform the repair.
- Design, fabricate, machine, and weld parts and components.
- Repair hydraulic, fluid power, electrical, and mechanical systems, and other related items.
- Test repaired equipment for performance and prepare for shipment or long-term storage.
- Assist customers by answering technical questions and providing quotes.
- Build customer relationships to drive repeat business and process improvements.
- Assist less experienced technicians with addressing customer needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Typically requires a high school diploma or GED and at least five (5) years of shop experience or an equivalent combination.
- Ability to read hydraulic schematics.
- Strong mechanical knowledge.
- Ability to operate shop equipment safely.
- Strong communication skills required.
Working Conditions:
- Push/pull up to 100 pounds.
- Lift/carry up to 100 pounds.
- Lift bulky objects.
- Neck rotation, trunk rotation, stair climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching, reach and lift, ladder climb and carry, crawling.
- Working conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor. Noise level may be loud at times.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
