Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Localization Project Manager to join our team at Localizationacademy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring the successful planning and execution of localization projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Planning and Management: Develop and manage localization schedules from translation to QA to launch, ensuring timely communication with stakeholders and vendors.
  2. Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, setting clear expectations and providing timely instructions.
  3. Test Planning and Execution: Create and execute basic test plans for linguists, ensuring high-quality results.
  4. Process Improvement: Analyze current pain points in workflows and tools, providing suggestions for improvements and piloting new processes.
  5. Decision-Making and Problem-Solving: Make independent decisions and work well under pressure in ambiguous situations with aggressive deadlines.
  6. Bug Triage and Escalation: Prioritize, triage, and escalate i18n bugs, working closely with product teams to ensure fixes are completed before launch.
Requirements:
  1. Experience: Proven track record of working in localization, QA, and project management.
  2. Localization Expertise: Experience with localization platforms, file formats, and CAT tools, as well as a solid understanding of common challenges in developing products for international markets.
  3. Technical Skills: Familiarity with product and software development processes, as well as experience in task prioritization and problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Localization Platforms and Tools: Experience with localization platforms, file formats, and CAT tools, or similar in-house localization tools and platforms.
  2. Product Development: Familiarity with product and software development processes.
  3. Localization Program Management: Relevant experience in software localization, localization program management, or management of localization technology solutions.
  4. Additional Skills: Experience in hardware, augmented reality, virtual reality, advertising, or payments testing.
