Client Relationship Specialist

About the Role

This position is responsible for building and maintaining ongoing client relationships to create demand for the company's products and services, and generating new revenue opportunities across the global organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintains direct communication with other departments to ensure marketing and sales plans and goals are aligned.
  • Manages customer relationships by creating solutions to meet their business needs.
  • Serves as the main contact for assigned customers.
  • Develops account strategies and plans to optimize market share and total contribution.
  • Plans and owns oversight and analysis of revenue and contributions, forecasts market outlook, and determines market trends.
  • Handles business development activities within the business unit.
  • Manages the onboarding, implementation, and first movement of current customers and prospects.
  • Administers the calendar for contract renewals, advance coordination, and tracks actual gains, losses, and commitments.
  • Provides ad-hoc reporting as needed.
  • Exemplifies the company's vision, values, and culture in interactions with coworkers, business partners, customers, and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in a job-related major field of study.
  • Minimum five years of relevant professional experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • KCS network experience, specifically in sales, marketing, customer relations, rail, or logistics.
  • Bilingual in both English and Spanish, written and spoken.

Working Conditions

  • This position has a regular full-time schedule with a normal work week of Monday through Friday.
  • This position may require minimal travel up to 10% of the time.
