Sales Development Manager for Capital Equipment

Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Sales Development Manager for our capital equipment team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical sales, with experience working with large-scale food manufacturers.
The Sales Development Manager will be responsible for developing and managing a results-driven sales team, as well as developing growth strategies for assigned product lines. They will also coordinate commercial and technical details with promotion, demonstration, sale, and deliverables for product lines both pre- and post-sale.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve business objectives
- Managing and motivating a team of sales professionals
- Coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches and sales efforts
In addition, the Sales Development Manager will need to possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to travel up to 80% of the time.
RequirementsTo be considered for this role, candidates must have:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or Business degree
- 5 years' Technical Sales experience with capital equipment (ideally in the food industry) Product Management, or Engineering experience in a manufacturing/industrial industry
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to travel up to 80% of the time
We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as benefits including health insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
