Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Production Manager to join our team. As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for directing overall plant operations and staff functions to achieve customer, business, and corporate objectives. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Develop Operating Plans: Create and implement operating plans that meet key performance objectives.
  2. Promote Manufacturing Success: Ensure the success of manufacturing and engineering programs by considering cost, resources, and technical risk.
  3. Nurture Talent Growth: Foster growth in talent and capability among the plant staff and total organization.
  4. Build Relationships: Develop effective relationships within the business, corporate leadership, and staff groups, as well as with key customers and suppliers where required.
  5. Develop Strategies: Collaborate with division and business staffs to develop strategies supporting manufacturing and commercial objectives.
  6. Cultivate a Sustainable Culture: Promote a sustainable culture characteristic of Corning Values and continuous improvement in support of the business.
  7. Advocate Innovation: Advocate and sponsor the innovation process for new product and process development.
  8. Engage in Corporate Citizenship: Engage in positive corporate citizenship initiatives in the communities in which we operate.
  9. Ensure Sustainability: Show forward thinking in developing strategies and plans to ensure the sustainability of plant operations.
  10. Sponsor Key Initiatives: Support and sponsor key corporate and division initiatives.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical degree.
  • Progressive responsibilities in manufacturing and engineering roles in plants and divisions.
  • Experience leading departments or organizations in meeting continuous improvement goals, step change performance improvements, innovation, expanding technical capability, work redesign, or other change efforts.
  • Proven ability to build and manage cohesive staff and establish collaborative relationships across functional areas.
  • Demonstrated track record of growing and placing talent.
