The Business & Operations Director for the Service Center is a key leadership role responsible for orchestrating and managing all aspects of service center operations to achieve excellence and performance that meet world-class standards. This role entails driving operational efficiency, exceeding customer satisfaction, achieving and surpassing financial commitments, and ensuring strict compliance with applicable regulations. The Director will oversee a dedicated team, ensuring that each process, procedure, and manufacturing step is executed flawlessly to deliver superior results.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Direct team responsibilities/activities to drive service center operations as Center Of Excellence and performance to world-class levels.
  • Execute each process, procedure, and manufacturing step to deliver and exceed customer satisfaction.
  • Manage P&L for Service Center operations to reach and exceed financial commitments.
  • Drive efficiency for the organization to reach and exceed customer, service, and financial objectives.
  • Coordinate team efforts to drive continued improvement on each of the processes and tasks.
  • Manage organization to redirect team efforts and reach the same objectives, with clear expectations.
  • Ensure that the necessary finance, manpower resources, and facilities are available to enable the company to perform the maintenance to which it is committed for contracted operators and any additional work which may be undertaken.
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Delegate all duties to qualified people, as necessary. However, such delegation does not relieve him/her of the overall responsibility for the AMETEK Reynosa Service Center. Ensures that the repair station personnel follow all applicable regulations.
  • Maintain an adequate and knowledgeable staff to plan, perform, supervise, and inspect processes.
  • Establish quality, safety, and material policies.
  • Nominating the management staff.
  • Supervise the progress of corrective actions/review the overall results in terms of quality.
  • Assure the competency of all personnel, including management personnel has been assessed.
  • Perform and assure that customer-reported difficulties are investigated/resolved.
  • Implement the quality program, follow up and assure all quality issues are solved.
  • Provide resources to establish secure and protected materials storage areas.
Skills & Education Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering (Aerospace/Mechanical/Manufacturing) discipline. MBA or other relevant advanced degree is preferred.
  • Proven record of success as a "hands-on" operations management leader with at least 10 years' experience in a similar role with a history of progressively responsible career progression.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and familiarity with Standard Work, Daily Management, 5S/Visual Management, TPM, Kaizen, Lean, and Six Sigma.
