Job Summary

The Project Manager for External Collaborations will be responsible for the overall execution of assigned projects, ensuring business objectives are met, aligned with global project management practices and compliance. This role will impact approaches, projects, and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working. The Project Manager will have significant input into priorities and will be responsible for high levels of operational judgment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program budgeting and resource allocation
  • Monitoring and communicating project status, business issues, and significant developments as appropriate
  • Leading multiple projects, monitoring progress and quality, and ensuring schedule requirements are met
  • Developing action plans to anticipate and respond to problems
  • Understanding government investment strategy and policies, identifying areas where GE Aerospace can partner
  • Executing and providing guidance for the analysis/evaluation of assigned projects that meet standards, practices, and products/program requirements
  • Establishing/developing close relationships with key organizations, academies, and associations
  • Proactive, able to develop new and creative ideas as well as with strong ownership
  • Interfacing with external organizations and supporting functions, and directing/coordinating the efforts of project team members in order to accomplish overall goals
  • Participating with a manager(s) in developing, communicating, executing, and tracking program plans and goals
  • Integrating and developing processes that meet business needs across the organization
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Solid contribution in a similar role or previous position
  • Excellent written, oral, and comprehension abilities in English and Spanish
  • Demonstrated technical skills and experience aligned with the team's scope
  • Demonstrated Project Management skills or the ability to document, plan, execute, control, close, and manage programs, projects, orders, activities, or systems
  • English skills: Must be able to maintain a normal day-to-day fluid conversation in English on any topic. Must have fluency, rhythm, and sufficient self-confidence in the language to be able to handle meetings and conversations
  • Responsible for the follow-up and completion of programs
  • Experience coordinating relevant projects with greater autonomy/ownership
  • Strategic planning and execution
  • Demonstrated ability in establishing common goals and objectives
  • Ability to influence others and to lead teams
  • Effective problem identification and solution skills
  • Proven analytical and organizational abilities
