Job Description

Job Title: Quality Lead

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Lead to join our team at John Wood Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing or supporting the application of quality principles, systems, and measures across a program or project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Management: Manage or support the application of quality principles, systems, and measures across a program or project.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Identify and engage with key stakeholders to promote quality management and gather feedback on performance.
  • Resource Planning: Support the effective planning and allocation of resources (including people and budgets) enabling delivery of agreed objectives and deliverables.
  • Quality System Implementation: Implement the Wood Business Management System (BMS) across their organization ensuring that its application is effective and that compliance with the system is routinely monitored, assessed, and improved as necessary.
  • Quality Supporting Systems: Ensure consistent and effective implementation of Quality supporting systems across their organization (e.g., NCR, Progressive learning, and Customer satisfaction systems).
  • Tender and Proposal Support: Support tenders and proposal activities for their organization.
  • Risk-Based Assurance: Plan and execute risk-based assurance plans including the escalation of significant findings to program/project leaders.
  • Delivery Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analysis of delivery performance data, regularly reporting themes and trends to senior leaders and undertaking intervention as required.
  • Customer Feedback: Gather and act upon customer feedback ensuring action is taken to maintain and improve customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Degree/diploma or local equivalent in Quality management, project management, or related discipline (essential).
  • Lead Auditor qualification by recognized industry body (essential).
  • Membership of CQI/ASQ Quality organizations, Project Management Institute, or equivalent (desirable).
  • Formal training in recognized root cause analysis techniques (essential).

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • 10+ years relevant experience (preferably in associated industry).
  • Comprehensive understanding in industry standards (ISO 9001, ISO 19011, and associated Wood Standards).
  • Proficient in the analysis of processes and data.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • High level of communication skills in both written and spoken format.
  • Proficient in the use of continuous improvement tools and techniques.
