Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced External Relations Specialist to join our Governance and Experience team. This role will be responsible for managing external relationships with brands, brand agencies, industry associations, and others to protect our company's intellectual property reputation.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field, and experience in external relations, brand management, or a similar role. Proficiency in English and Spanish is required, as well as proven experience in managing relationships with external stakeholders, including government and regulatory bodies.
Responsibilities- Own and manage projects designed to improve operational efficiency, collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline processes.
- Manage external relationships with brands, brand agencies, industry associations, and others to build and protect the company's IPR reputation.
- Plan and execute events to promote IPR protection awareness among internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor external platforms and global events to anticipate and mitigate potential brand-related risks.
- Use data analysis to predict and address issues before they arise, ensuring proactive problem-solving.
- Maintain strong cross-functional partnerships with internal teams to implement solutions to IPR-related challenges and manage outsourcing needs as necessary.
- Develop and oversee strategies for external communications, ensuring consistent messaging related to brand and IPR protection.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience in external relations, brand management, or a similar role, with experience in managing cross-functional projects and teams.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Proven experience in managing relationships with external stakeholders, including government and regulatory bodies.
- Experience in IPR protection or brand-related legal issues.
- Experience working in industries that require significant IPR protection efforts.
- Familiarity with government regulatory environments related to intellectual property.
- Proficiency in data analysis to forecast trends and manage risks.
- Strong project management skills and experience working across multiple teams.
$80,000 - $120,000 per year.
