In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe handling of packages within our operations. This includes manual handling, sorting, screening, and completing any related administration or paperwork.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide efficient and safe delivery and pickup of packages.
- Check packages to ensure proper labeling, legality of content, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Complete necessary paperwork, such as airway bills and delivery records, with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Seek additional business from current customers and inform management of changes in customer/competitor efforts.
- Load and unload company aircraft and vehicles in a safe manner.
- Audit size and weight of packages and boxes and sort them accordingly.
- Ensure the use of safety equipment and full compliance with FedEx safety policies and procedures.
- Operate company vehicles in a safe and secure manner and perform basic maintenance tasks.
- Valid Driver's License and good driving record.
- Basic English Skills.
- Experience operating ramp and warehouse equipment preferred.
- Ability to lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment.
- General vehicle maintenance a plus and power and hand tools experience preferred.
- Must be able to successfully complete the Basic Skills Test.
