Overview

Role of the Operations Management Leader

Oversee the VPC processes to achieve the profitability targets set for the VPC.

Ensure adherence to operational procedures in line with management's requirements to secure operational profitability.

Guarantee that the safety, quality, and efficiency benchmarks mandated by the client are consistently met.

Responsibilities

KEY FUNCTIONS

Facilitate effective communication with clients, ensuring compliance with all legal and operational requirements. Provide updates to the WW leadership team regarding VPC performance and outcomes. Formulate both long-term and short-term strategies that align with VPC goals. Collaborate with the HR department on union negotiations and related matters. Ensure that planning and coordination activities align with VPC objectives. Communicate VPC goals, strategies, and initiatives to the VPC team. Ensure that VPC staff receive appropriate training and resources. Set routine management targets for the VPC. Identify and implement initiatives for cost reduction. Execute, manage, and support lean waste reduction initiatives and projects. Assess and establish operational procedures. Ensure compliance with established operational procedures across all production functions and processes. Maintain VPC efficiency standards while adhering to WW quality benchmarks. Efficiency metrics are established by the Operations Manager and communicated through Time per Activity (TPA) and Labor Efficiency Goals (PET). Uphold workplace safety standards, including proper management of hazardous waste materials. Implement total quality management principles, including Policy Management, Shop Floor Management, and Routine Management processes. Collaborate effectively with all members of VPC management. Ensure VPC compliance with all WW policies and procedures. Promote the Company Leadership Competencies. Safeguard confidential information and adhere to company confidentiality policies as well as applicable state and federal laws. Foster positive relationships with customers, vendors, business partners, and employees. Ensure supervisory staff are cross-trained in various VPC functions and promote a collaborative approach to problem-solving. Perform additional related duties as necessary. Develop, motivate, and train employees at all levels for their professional growth and the company's future success. Be prepared to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays. Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Operate both manual and automatic vehicles. Engage in collaborative problem-solving. Qualifications

Inspire change through effective communication at all levels. Understand revenue drivers and efficiency metrics to achieve favorable financial outcomes. Lead continuous process improvements to foster a safe and cost-effective work environment that meets performance objectives. Familiarity with SOP, MRP, TQM, JIT, Kaizen, 5S, and visual factory management. Must possess a valid driver's license and be capable of operating both manual and automatic vehicles. Proficient in advanced English.
