Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Medical Affairs Manager to join our Mexico-based team. This role will be instrumental in supporting the scientific and business interests of BioMarin by identifying key opinion leaders and developing strategic partnerships in academic and clinical medicine.

About the Role

The successful candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of BioMarin's approved products, pipeline agents, and associated disease state areas. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing medical plans within the region to meet company-defined goals
  • Collaborating with the Regional Medical Affairs Director to establish a medical strategy aligned with the Global and Regional medical strategies
  • Identifying and developing relationships with key thought leaders and opinion leaders
  • Serving as a medical and technical resource for clinical issues raised by internal and external stakeholders
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • A Medical Doctor (M.D.) degree and relevant residency or fellowship experience
  • Expertise in genetic disease/metabolic diseases (desired)
  • Fluency in English and native Spanish language skills
  • Clinical experience with a minimum of 3 years in pharmaceutical companies, preferably in Medical Affairs or Clinical Development

  • An estimated annual salary of $95,000 - $115,000, depending on experience

Location

This position will be based in Mexico City, covering Mexico for portfolio and pipeline products.
