About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Basis Consultant to join our dynamic IT Hub in Mexico City. As a key member of our SAP Basis Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stable and secure operation of our global SAP system landscapes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the stable, secure, and high-performance operation of SAP system landscapes
  • Analyze and troubleshoot occurring problems, providing timely and effective solutions
  • Provide 2nd level support within the framework of SAP Basis support, collaborating with the Infrastructure and Application Teams
  • Implement change requests and system optimization measures, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems
  • Execute SAP Basis activities, including creation and provisioning of SAP systems, installation, and upgrades of SAP components and databases
  • Collaborate and manage sub-projects in SAP innovation, rollout, or upgrade projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results
  • Provision and life cycle maintenance of the SAP front end, including SAP GUI and Business Explorer
  • Develop and implement SAP Basis specific solutions with a focus on automation, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our IT operations
Requirements
  • Completed studies in information technology, business informatics, or comparable IT-specific training with relevant professional experience in the SAP Basis environment
  • Expert knowledge in the support of SAP systems and SAP databases, with experience in SAP system operation in Azure
  • Profound knowledge of SAP Basis topics, including SAP NetWeaver technology and architecture, SAP ERP, S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, BW/BI/BO, Fiori, PO, SCM, and Solution Manager
  • Strong understanding of database systems, including SAP HANA and IBM DB2-LUW, with SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP HANA certification
  • Safe handling of operating systems, including Windows Server and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server
  • High service orientation, strong sense of quality and responsibility, analytical-conceptual thinking, and independent solution-oriented approach
  • Team player with a structured and proactive approach to work, ability to work under pressure, and willingness to constantly familiarize yourself with new topics
  • Strong communication skills, with excellent written and spoken English skills
