About the Role

As an Environmental Sustainability and Health Engineer, you will play a critical role in establishing, maintaining, and developing our environmental management system, ensuring compliance with local, federal, and international laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate environmental and safety impacts before initiating new activities or projects.
  • Conduct or support investigations of environmental and safety impacts of raw materials, products, processes, emissions, and waste associated with the company.
  • Promote the adoption of environmental and safety responsibility principles with contractors and suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain emergency plans in coordination with authorities, emergency services, and the local community.
  • Contribute to the transfer of healthy environmental technology and development of public policies and organizational programs.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal EHS regulations and company-mandated policies.
  • Lead implementation of new EHS initiatives and coordinate contractor and consultant activities.
  • Track facility EHS performance and develop periodic status reports.
  • Facilitate and guide site EHS committee activities.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 80% knowledge of English.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Familiarity with computer programs such as Word and Excel.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a similar position.
  • Technical background preferred with knowledge of site operations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with employees, management team members, and regulatory agency representatives.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives.
