About the Role

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Manager to join our team at Altair Engineering. As a key member of our Corporate Human Resources department, you will provide advisory support to management and employees on all Human Resource related matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, update, and apply all HR policies and company guidelines for Mexico.
  • Lead employee onboarding and offboarding activities, including HRIS entry, systems/laptop procurement, initiating internal system access, Payroll set up, exit interviews, and benefit enrollment and termination.
  • Partner with our Payroll vendor to ensure accuracy of payments made for salary and variable compensation.
  • Maintain office services for the Mexico headquarters by organizing office operations and procedures including controlling internal communications, managing corporate events, and recording employee bill-backs and cross charging.
  • Responsible for HR administrative processes related to benefits, HRIS, Leaves of Absence, Vacation Pay, and Sick Leave.
  • Work closely with Corporate HR, the Country Manager, and management to improve engagement, morale, productivity, and retention.
  • Support the Americas Internship Program by working closely with the Talent and Engagement Specialist as well as local hiring managers to fill approved opportunities.
  • Manage local recruiting strategies in support of Altair's customer needs; provide recommendations to Country Manager and Hiring Manager for recruiting and retention of talent.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of local, legal requirements related to daily employee management to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory & audit compliance. Work closely with local legal advisors on complex employee issues.
  • Proactively collaborate with VP Human Resources in rolling out key HR processes – including active involvement with recruitment, compensation planning (merit / annual increases), performance management, turnover analysis/retention statistics, etc.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years professional experience within Human Resources or related Human Resource Service function.
  • Background in HR competencies: recruitment, compensation, employee relations, performance management, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development or related field.
  • Experience working in a Global and Technology company and culture is preferred.
