Job Summary:

The Senior Quality Oversight Specialist will provide full leadership and supervisory responsibility to a team of quality and control reviewers. This role will be responsible for ensuring that all quality and control reviews are completed in a timely and accurate manner, and that all procedures are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead a team of quality and control reviewers to ensure that all reviews are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  2. Develop and implement quality procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  3. Monitor team workflow and ensure that all tasks are meeting timeliness and quality standards.
  4. Perform analysis on results and reporting to senior management, including root cause analysis on defects.
  5. Assist with requests from senior management and may interface with compliance and audit examiners.
  6. Analyze and identify risks based on information provided when reviewing or adding new reviews.
  7. Act as a consultant to the business regarding process improvements for quality reviews.
  8. Ensure appropriate controls are in place for all work performed.
  9. Drive corrective actions and develop corrective action recommendations.
  10. Work with multiple MIS and system teams to ensure data is available for result analysis.
  11. Work with Ops Quality Control team members located in multiple sites.
  12. Help drive consistency between the functions of Credit Operations through quality reviews, control reviews, audit feedback and results.
  13. Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  14. Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
  15. Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and/or other team members.
  16. Ability to manage teams.
  17. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Requirements:

  1. 5-8 years of experience leading teams preferred.
  2. Ability to analyze results and identify strengths and opportunities.
  3. Experience in creating and implementing processes that result in improved business performance.
  4. Ability to work independently, prioritize and work diligently under pressure.
  5. Ability to effectively communicate with multiple lines of business and multiple layers of management.
  6. Credit Operations experience required.
  7. Interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment collaborating across diverse groups.
  8. Navigates complexity to create clear, often unique solutions.
  9. Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills.
  10. Performance record with a history of increased responsibility, and task/project delivery.
  11. Proven ability to make sound business decisions.
  12. Superior execution skills with a focus on clear, realistic action steps and timelines.
  13. Proven ability to communicate business rationale to internal and external counterparts.

Education:

  1. Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
