Educational Specialist in Special Needs

This role involves the strategic planning, organization, and execution of tailored instructional programs designed to meet the diverse learning requirements of students with special needs. The aim is to motivate and support students in realizing their full potential in both academic and extracurricular pursuits.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design, prepare, and implement engaging instructional activities that promote active learning.
2. Create comprehensive lesson plans.
3. Set and communicate clear objectives for all educational activities.
4. Organize the classroom environment for optimal learning experiences.
5. Provide a diverse array of educational materials and resources.
6.
Recognize and employ various instructional resources and techniques to cater to the learning needs of students at different levels of achievement.
7. Guide and supervise students in the effective use of learning materials and tools.8. Ensure the care and safeguarding of educational resources.
9. Utilize relevant technology to enhance instructional delivery.
10. Observe and assess student performance and growth.
11. Assign and evaluate classwork, homework, tests, and projects as necessary.
12. Offer constructive feedback on student assignments.
13. Track and encourage individual student progress.
14. Provide guidance to foster educational advancement.
15. Maintain thorough and accurate records of student progress and development.
16. Update records diligently as mandated by regulations and district policies.
17. Prepare necessary reports regarding student performance and activities.
18.
Manage student behavior and uphold discipline by establishing and enforcing classroom rules and procedures.
19. Engage in departmental, school, and district meetings and professional development opportunities as appropriate.20. Stay informed about the latest developments in the relevant subject area as directed by the school or district.
21. Collaborate in the planning, execution, and assessment of the overall school program.
22. Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians.
Additional Responsibilities
Undertake other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Principal or designated administrator.

Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited institution.
2. Certification in TMD, Mental Disability, Severe Disabilities, or Multi-Categorical Education.
3. Additional professional and personal qualifications as deemed necessary for effective performance of assigned duties.
