In this role, you will oversee the production activities within the facility, ensuring the achievement of critical performance metrics (SQCDSM) related to safety, quality, efficiency, volume, cost, sustainability, and team morale. You will be responsible for the effective implementation of our manufacturing strategy and will work towards cultivating a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

Facilitate change management and transformation within the operational teams as they implement the IL6S-Integrated Lean 6 Sigma framework, transitioning to a Factory of the Future model with defined roles (AM-Autonomous Maintenance, PM-Progressive Maintenance) to develop self-sufficient teams. Exemplify company values through effective coaching, mentoring, and team development. Assist in formulating the annual operational plans and objectives to achieve Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability, and Engagement targets in alignment with the site's business requirements. Guide Line Leaders in communicating these plans and objectives to ensure alignment and understanding of priorities and KPIs among all employees. Lead the establishment of robust governance to monitor and control operational performance and continuous improvement initiatives, fostering a zero-loss mindset to consistently enhance and deliver best-in-class results both internally and externally. Drive the operational team to identify and manage enhancements in technology, culture, capability, and operating systems to ensure reliable operations. Ensure compliance with all manufacturing standards, governance, and regulatory requirements (e.g., Corporate Quality, Food Safety & GMP, Health, Safety, Security, Environment, Sustainability, Code of Conduct, Policies & Principles, Operational Standards, Local Legal Requirements, Internal Audit Standards, and other procedures) are effectively implemented, understood, and regularly reviewed. Be accountable for Talent Management, Capability Development, and Engagement within the manufacturing team - identify and implement key strategies to attract, retain, and develop essential talent while building capabilities at all levels, both technical and behavioral, to create a sustainable workforce for the future. Collaborate effectively with multi-functional peers both internally and externally to achieve objectives and KPIs.

Qualifications

A commitment to advancing your career along with the following experience and knowledge:

Proven operational and manufacturing leadership experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector, with expertise in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies. Strong communication (both verbal and written), coaching, and leadership abilities in a collaborative environment. Demonstrated skills in analytics, problem-solving, and team building. An engineering background with solid financial and business acumen, project management capabilities, and knowledge of industrial maintenance and manufacturing equipment.

Additional Information

The Section Manager oversees a team consisting of 4 Master Guides (plant supervisors), each responsible for approximately 60 team members.

The Section Manager is accountable for executing strategies on the production floor and for all operational metrics.

This role is specifically for the cheese category within the plant.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in engineering. Advanced technical knowledge in dairy and food processing. Experience in the fast-moving consumer goods industry. Minimum of 3 years in similar roles. Proficient in managing personnel across administrative, core, and unionized sectors. Familiarity with integrated systems or continuous improvement methodologies such as TPM - WUCM. Knowledge of good manufacturing practices. Understanding of food safety practices (preferred). Intermediate proficiency in English.

This position is based at the Ecatepec plant.
