Quantum Corporation is offering an exciting opportunity for a Financial Operations Specialist to join their team in Zapopan, Mexico.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in General Ledger Accounting and/or Cost Accounting within a global organization, with a strong understanding of consolidations and intercompany transactions.
Responsibilities- Lead and support accounting close activities for Quantum and its subsidiaries, ensuring timely and accurate recognition of financial transactions in compliance with US GAAP and SOX requirements.
- Manage the accurate allocation of direct and indirect costs to inventory, ensuring proper valuation on the balance sheet, and conduct variance analysis between standard and actual production costs.
- Prepare and review reconciliations for various subsidiaries to ensure the accuracy and completeness of intercompany transactions and consolidations.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and cost accounting reports, ensuring data accuracy and integrity in financial reporting by leveraging Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) and PowerBI.
- Analyze domestic and international balance sheets and income statements, identifying significant variances, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain thorough documentation to support internal and external audits, and collaborate with auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with advanced degrees or certifications in Accounting (CPA, CMA) and/or Data Analytics being a plus.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) and advanced Excel, with strong experience with PowerBI or similar data visualization tools.
- In-depth understanding of US GAAP, with experience with global financial reporting, cost accounting principles, and practices.
- Ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights, with strong problem-solving skills focused on process optimization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data and insights to senior management and non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, maintain positive relationships, and work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
The estimated salary for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
