Job Summary

The Training and Development Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing all training and education initiatives in Canada, the United States, and Mexico. This role will also assume accountability for mechanical and engineering functions in Mexico, ensuring that training standards are met and risks related to legal and federal rules are mitigated.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement training plans to support business strategies and performance improvement targets for operations
  • Identify yearly training requirements and provide a cost-effective organization to deliver training
  • Manage the planning process for the delivery of initial training, certification training, recurrent training, and skill upgrades for new hires and existing employees
  • Prepare and manage budgets for training initiatives
  • Develop training plans with strategic partners and training providers
  • Manage the entry of training records into the training system for client groups
  • Ensure consistency in training design for the function
  • Improve training processes in the area of responsibility
  • Provide leadership and administrative support to the team

Requirements

  • University degree or diploma in Adult Education
  • 3 or more years of hands-on experience in T&E
  • 2 or more years of instructional experience
  • 5 or more years of management experience, preferably in the railway industry
