We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Manager to lead our innovation efforts and drive product development across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage R&D projects for product innovation, renovation, and productivity, including new ideas generation and pipeline development.
  • Develop and implement a management, development, and training plan for the R&D Team.
  • Interface with Manufacturing/Operations, Marketing, Commercial, and Procurement areas to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Lead projects for product performance improvements and value engineering, ensuring compliance with Mexican legislation and company guidelines.
  • Participate in influencing the Supplier Homologation agenda and VE through technical forums.
  • Prospect for new opportunities with suppliers and KHC technology teams to drive the future R&D agenda.
  • Lead internal R&D meetings to review and prioritize project activities and requests from other areas.
  • Build effective networks with Global teams for alignment and opportunity search.
  • Lead multifunctional and technical teams, ensuring the area's budget and spending plan.
  • Participate in main technical forums on the food agenda as a KHC Interlocutor.
  • Ensure correct creation of ingredients and finished products specifications.

Requirements:

  • Complete Food Engineer graduation or similar (Chemical Engineering), desirable Master's degree.
  • Minimum 6 years experience in product and process management across Latam countries.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken).
  • Experience in the consumer goods industry.
  • Management of people and cross-functional teams, continuously looking for team growth.
  • Hands-on attitude leader.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong background in food science, food engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in food formulation, processing technologies, and product development methodologies.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data, interpret results, and draw actionable insights.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address technical challenges and optimize product formulations.
  • Project Management: Excellent project management skills to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver projects on schedule.
  • Collaboration: Effective communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with teams across the organization.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in experimental procedures, data collection, and documentation.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to evolving business needs, market dynamics, and technological advancements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of food safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices.
