R&D Manager Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Manager to lead our product innovation and development efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing R&D projects, developing and implementing product strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage R&D projects from concept to launch, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Develop and implement product strategies that align with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, marketing, and procurement, to drive business growth and improve product quality.
  • Lead the R&D team, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure team members have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for product safety, quality, and labeling.

Requirements:

  • Complete Food Engineer graduation or similar (Chemical Engineering), desirable Master's degree.
  • Minimum 6 years experience in product and process management, across Latam countries.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken).
  • Experience in the consumer goods industry.
  • Management of people and cross-functional teams, continuously looking for the team growth.
  • Hands-on attitude leader.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong background in food science, food engineering, or a related field. Proficiency in food formulation, processing technologies, and product development methodologies.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data, interpret results, and draw actionable insights. Strong problem-solving skills to address technical challenges and optimize product formulations.
  • Project Management: Excellent project management skills to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver projects on schedule. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Collaboration: Effective communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with teams across the organization. Ability to build strong relationships and influence decision-making.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in experimental procedures, data collection, and documentation. Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and precision.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to evolving business needs, market dynamics, and technological advancements. Willingness to embrace change and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of food safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices. Understanding of regulatory requirements for product labeling, claims, and marketing.
