Our Team

We are a highly technical, passionate, and driven team of over 150 people, representing 26 nationalities. Our offices are located in São Paulo, Mexico City, and Barcelona, with a significant portion of our team working remotely. We are tackling a stimulating problem: connecting fintech innovators with legacy financial infrastructure. Our goal is to go beyond the limits of what is possible today, delivering elegant and developer-first solutions.

Your Opportunity

Join our ambitious and fast-paced Legal team as a Legal Specialist. In this role, you will:

  • Assess various legal matters, including contracts, privacy, corporate, regulatory, and everything legal.
  • Support the Contract Life Cycle Management by drafting, reviewing, negotiating, amending, releasing, and guaranteeing the quality of low-to-mid complexity documents.
  • Ensure proper follow-up of entrusted matters, daily tracking, and updating the progress to relevant areas, considering timely completion of the ticketing system.
  • Support internal corporate control, including coordinating with outside counsels and drafting corporate documents for Mexican entities.
  • Research and analyze laws, regulations, and procedures to provide legal support.
  • Interact with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds, actively supporting them in achieving their goals.
  • Build and improve processes, prepare presentations, and perform other related tasks within the job level as requested by the immediate supervisor.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Law.
  • 2+ years of experience within a legal function in law firms, financial institutions, Fintech, or technology companies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to partner with colleagues at all levels.
  • Collaborative spirit and problem prevention and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to provide guidance that is sensitive to both legal and business perspectives.
  • Implacable curiosity.
  • Spoken and written English and Spanish.
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly.
  • Willingness to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in an international law firm and/or Fintech or Startup is a plus. Previous experience with IFPEs and tech companies is also desirable. PLD/FT Certification is a valuable asset.
