As a pivotal leader within the procurement team, you will inspire and guide fellow buyers to achieve exceptional outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with essential stakeholders, including Customs and Trade, PMO, and PPM, to ensure the prompt acquisition of Certificates of Origin (COO) for USMCA and other Free Trade Agreements throughout the project development lifecycle.
- Coordinate with Customs and Trade to secure annual Certificates of Origin (COO) for ongoing production projects.
- Critically evaluate and, when necessary, contest COO submissions from suppliers, always in collaboration with Customs & Trade, PPM, and Lineside as needed.
- Establish and uphold key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to the procurement function.
- Develop and refine processes that standardize operations and guarantee strict adherence to established protocols.
- Promote educational programs and training sessions to enhance understanding of USMCA's significance within and beyond the procurement department.
- Serve as a primary contact for other purchasing divisions (PPM, Lineside) to address inquiries related to USMCA.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Foreign Trade, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience at a professional level within the automotive industry or supplier sector (Production parts).
- One to two years of successful experience in leading and mentoring peers, demonstrating strategic insight, effective collaboration, and a results-oriented approach.
Required Knowledge:
- Proficient in strategic sourcing and cost optimization, including budget assessment, quote evaluation, quote preparation, benchmarking, cost forecasting, and negotiation. Basic understanding of vendor tooling and technical drawing interpretation.
- Strong database management and analytical skills to identify actionable insights.
- Familiarity with new project development methodologies (V3P, VLAP, NPQP, etc.).
- Comprehensive knowledge of commercial and legal frameworks within the automotive industry. Experience in foreign trade is advantageous.
- Thorough understanding of Nissan's internal systems (GTOP/CFP/DCW/SAP).
Language Proficiency:
Fluent in English (Business level) - TOEIC score of 750 or higher.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Experienced with SAP.
- Familiar with Nissan Internal Systems (GTOP, CFP, DCW).

Travel Requirements:
